Airgas
Passing the Torch
Mike Molinini

"I am honored and energized by the confidence that Peter and the rest of the Board have in me, and I look forward to enhancing Airgas’ position as one of the premier industrial gas companies in the world."

Mike Molinini

A new chapter in the Airgas story began at the 2012 Annual Meeting, as Michael L. Molinini became the company’s second President and CEO. Peter McCausland took on the new role of Executive Chairman of the Board.

As they have in the past, so now McCausland and Molinini continue to work closely together as a team. Peter McCausland’s focus is Airgas growth strategies, corporate development, risk management, and governance. Molinini leads Airgas operations, finance and human services, together with the important territory of information technology initiatives.

"More than anybody else I have come across in my thirty years running this business, Mike Molinini embodies Airgas . . . Mike is the right person to keep us working safely, growing steadily and rolling in the right direction."

Peter McCausland

Mike Molinini joined Airgas in April 1997 as Group Vice President of Airgas Direct Industrial and led the build our of Airgas’ hardgoods supply chain, including development of the Radnor private label program. Promoted to Senior Vice President of Hardgoods, he held company-wide responsibility for directing sales and marketing, procurement, and distribution center logistics and subsequently became Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Airgas.

McCausland stresses that this important development in planning for the future entails no shift in strategy, vision, or day to day operations. Indeed, the leadership transition is simply the next step in the evolution of Airgas, and as always, THE BEST TIME AT AIRGAS IS NOW.
