Our principal product is packaged gas. In 200 plants nationwide, associates like Bruce Sundberg in Cheshire, CT, fill cylinders and liquid dewars for delivery to customers. Airgas is the leading U.S. distributor of packaged gases. With five million cylinders, we can deliver gases, such as nitrogen, oxygen, argon, helium, hydrogen, acetylene, and shielding gases, to a small repair shop that rents a few cylinders a month or a petrochemical plant that needs dozens of cylinders a week. For customers that need higher quantities, we deliver gas in liquid dewars, MicroBulk or bulk quantities. Airgas has more than 6,000 bulk tanks installed at customer sites. In the past year, we’ve added a dozen MicroBulk delivery vehicles to serve customers that need the convenience of bulk in smaller sizes. In addition to gases, we provide everything the job requires – welding equipment, supplies and safety products – in fact, we are the third-largest U.S. distributor of safety products. We offer products from leading brands as well as our own Radnor® private-label welding and safety products. Our product offering also includes Red-D-Arc Welderentals™, Airgas Rutland Tool, as well as specialty and medical gases, liquid carbon dioxide, dry ice, and nitrous oxide.
