Arcair® Model 53-018-000 55 Gallon Drum PROTEX® Model Original Anti-Spatter

Protex® Original anti-spatter compound formula is still your first choice for all heavy-duty high heat applications. The arc stabilizing base material used in Protex Original allows it to withstand temperatures of approximately 1600 degrees Farenheit. This product has been used to reduce scale build-up in a heat treating operation.

The arc stabilizing base material used in Protex Original allows it to withstand temperaturees of approximately 1600°F.
The chloride, fluoride and silicone contents in Protex Original have tested below a level that makes it possible for use in nuclear work.
If Protex Original freezes, the natural thickening ingredient used in the material will become useless causing the compuond to become thinner. However, this will not effect the compound's ability to reduce spatter.

Benefits:

One gallon of Protex Original diluted with a gallon of water will cover about 1000 square feet. It will dry leaving a durable, chalky base to protect the weldment.
Water based Protex Original is environmentally safe, non-toxic and non-flammable.
