Airgas operates five (5) strategically positioned production facilities designed for the production of high purity gases, gas mixtures, calibration standards and medical devices. Each location is designed to augment the capabilities of over 100 Airgas traditional gas-filling plants throughout the United States. The company also provides a complete line of specialty gas equipment.

These modern specialty gas facilities are located in Los Angeles, CA; Houston, TX; West Chicago, IL; Montgomeryville, PA; and Cheshire, CT.

In addition to specialty gases, Airgas also provides a complete line of refrigerants in various grades, purities and container sizes.

Specialty Gas Production Facilities

Airgas Specialty Gases (ASG) maintains a production network of 5, full capability National labs linked by an inter-branch distribution system and networked computer system. These labs contain state-of-the-art analytical and blending equipment producing atmospheric gases up to Research Grade, EPA Protocol mixtures, complex hydrocarbon mixtures and environmental mixtures as well as bulk hydrocarbons and refrigerants. The locations of the Specialty Gas "National" Facilities are:

• Emergency Response - All of the "National Labs" maintain an Emergency Response Team along with the required equipment to respond to most emergencies. Safety is ASG's first priority and is a condition of employment. All products can be supplied with MSDS sheets.
  
  
• Delivery and Lead Times - ASG can schedule delivery and lead times from the nearest "National Lab" to fit most customers' requirements. Product can be supplied in Airgas owned cylinders with standard valves or in customer-owned cylinders with special valve configurations.
  
  
• Other Services - ASG offers a variety of support services to its customers including product training, cylinder inventory and stocking, analytical services, as well as cylinder and valve maintenance, to name a few. Other services or special customer requirements are available upon request.
