  • Does Airgas Gaspro sell dry ice?
Yes. Airgas Gaspro is the only manufacturer of dry ice in the State of Hawaii.

  • How long does dry ice last?
Dry ice is called dry ice because it changes directly from a solid to a gas and never turns to a liquid. The process is called sublimation.

The speed of the process is determined by how much heat is present. Dry ice stored in a cooler will have a longer life cycle. For example, 5 lbs. of dry ice can last approximately 10 hours.

  • How do you store dry ice?
Dry ice should be stored in a cooler. DO NOT store in your refrigerator.

  • Can dry ice be put into beverages?
Dry ice cannot be put into beverages because it is made with a glycol oil base.

  • Can dry ice be taken on airlines? What is the maximum quantity?
Yes, you can take dry ice onto the airplane, however, each airline has its own procedure of dry ice handling. Airlines control the maximum quantity of dry ice customers can carry. We highly suggest that customers call their airline before purchasing dry ice to carry onto the plane.
