Clinical Blood Gas Mixtures

Blood gas analysis is a complex process that measures pH, pO2, pCO2 and other parameters.

Airgas Puritan Medical blood gas mixtures provide zero and span calibration for oxygen and carbon dioxide for the determination of pO2 and pCO2 in a blood sample. Results are used to diagnose respiratory problems as well as support many surgical procedures. Blood gas analyses must be fast, accurate and verifiable.

Multi-component blood gas mixtures are available in two highly accurate certified levels. Precision Plus is recommended where the highest level of accuracy is required and the instrument is set to a specific calibration value. Precision is a more economical standard. It is recommended for instruments that can be adjusted to a certified reported value. Both Precision Plus and Precision are sold in a variety of cylinder sizes to meet your laboratory space requirements.
