- Chicago Protective Apparel NFPA 1971-2013 firefighters' knit hood is made from 8 oz. 2-ply P84 / Lenzing. It is 21" in length with a long notched shoulder bib design. It is inherently flame resistant. Kevlar® is added to the fabric blend for additional strength and durability. Golden yellow color.
