- voestalpine Böhler Welding 904L Stainless Steel MIG Welding Wire features best impact strength at low temperatures and can be used for ASTM 316 type constructions when a weld metal free from ferrite is needed such as cryogenic or non-magnetic applications. 33# Spool wire of 0.045" Dia is predetermined for welding AvestaPolarit 904L and grades of similar kind and endeavors resistance against stress corrosion cracking. Steel and filler delivers excellent corrosion resistance to general, pitting, crevice corrosion by a combination of Cr, Ni, Mo, Cu.
