- 410 Stainless steel GMAW (MIG) welding alloy is used for welding alloys of similar compositions. Also, used for overlays on carbon steels to resist corrosion, erosion or abrasion. Usually requires preheat and postheat treatments. Conforms to AWS A5.9.
