Item Details

  • HOBART® FabCOR® Edge™ Gas Shielded Metal Core Carbon Steel Tubular Welding Wire of 0.052" Dia is a metal-cored wire with fewer silicon islands and is capable of higher deposition rates as well as travel speeds than the solid wire. Gas shielded, metal-powder, metal-cored wire suitable for flat and horizontal welding positions gives tremendous gap bridging capabilities and virtually leaves no silicon deposits at weld bead toe lines. It is cost and time effective as it helps save money spent on cleaning prior to painting, coating or plating due to its exceptional low spatter rates. The low diffusible hydrogen weld deposit adds resistance to cracking and features smooth arc characteristics for better usability and welder appeal. Wire features excellent wetting characteristics and enhances productivity. Wire has a minimum 70000 psi tensile strength, 58000 yield strength and 22% elongation in 2". It helps produce smooth weld beads with uniform fusion and also minimizes burn-through while reducing part rejection. It is associated with E70C-6M H4 class of wires and is used as a mixture of argon and carbon dioxide, with a minimum of 75% argon and a maximum of 95% argon in shielding gas. Used in single and multi-pass welding to eliminate clean-up time, while minimizing the risk of inclusions. Wire comes in an exacto-pak of 750 lb and is used in robotic and automated welding, non-alloyed and fine grain steels, heavy equipment, agriculture, transportation and mining.
