These flash arrestors are designed for connecting to "B" size hose fittings on a welding or cutting torch. Each contains a sintered stainless steel flame barrier and a spring-loaded reverse flow check valve. In the event of a flashback, the barrier will stop the flame from reaching the check valve and the hose. The check valve will prevent one gas from flowing into the other gas hose.
