These new SIR™ single-station manifolds (also known as "protocol stations") are designed to provide safe, reliable method to wallmount a two-stage Smart Indicating Regulator (SIR™). This eliminates the need to handle the regulator during cylinder change out. The brackets are fabricated from Type 304 stainless steel for durable, long-life service and are suitable for connection of most single- and two-stage regulators. The Airgas® two-stage Smart Indicating Regulator (SIR™) component of this manifold provides accurate pressure control while maintaining gas purity at 99.9999% pure or better. The two-stage SIR safeguards the system from contaminants that normally enter the gas stream during cylinder change out, if a lower grade of gas is connected to the system, or if there is a purity issue with the gas. SIR provides a visual indication if leaks have developed downstream from the regulator.
