- For a smear-free finish even on alloys with high nickel content, this Merit Surface Prep A/O coarse grit TS (Type II) non-woven quick-change disc gets the job done. Enjoy up to 50 percent better performance and a 20 percent higher cut rate over comparable products thanks to the quality aluminum oxide grain coating. Coarse grit blends welds and removes material from aluminum, titanium and carbon steel, while Clean Bond resin technology reduces loading on these soft metals. Strong nylon scrim bonded to high-loft nylon fiber allows for a thick layer of resin and grain, keeping the disc stiff and durable.
