Avesta 308L-16 Stainless Steel Stick Electrode is ideally designed for welding ASTM 304 and 304L stainless steels to render high productivity welding in flat and horizontal positions. It gives rise to a 5 - 10 % ferrite weldment to provide resistance against corrosion. Welder-friendly electrode with 570 N/sq.mm tensile strength has better impact strength than 308L type electrodes particularly at low temperatures or after annealing. Cr-Ni All position electrode with 470 N/sq.mm yield strength is magnificent in severe conditions such as in oxidizing acids and cold/dilute reducing acids. It can also be used for AC/DC current welding applications. It comes in a 8 lb tube.
