ESAB® Arcaloy® Stick Electrode measuring 1/8" X 14" is recommended for welding type 410 straight chromium steel. It is used extensively for corrosion and oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures up to 1200 deg F as well as resistance to stress corrosion cracking at ambient temperatures. Electrodes give weldments with good ductility at lower temperatures. The AC-DC electrode use higher currents than standard straight chromium electrodes and is more like 7018 electrodes in their welding performance and use higher currents than standard straight chromium electrodes. Application area includes petrochemical and chemical industry. Electrode is associated with E410-16 AWS classification and meets AWS A5.4 and ASME SFA 5.4 approvals. It comes in a 10 lb hermetically sealed can.
