Item Details

ESAB® Arcaloy® Stick Electrode measuring 3/16" X 14" is recommended for the welding of Type 410 and similar martensitic stainless steels. It is used in many applications including the corrosion and oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures. Preheat and post weld heat-treating of these weldments is necessary in all but the thinnest sections. These electrodes are made with mild steel core wire that makes them weld more like E7018 electrodes than those electrodes with stainless steel core wire. Rutile coating gives good slag removal and out of position weldability. Electrode is associated with E410-16 ASME IX F No.4 and ASME II SF approvals. It comes in a 10 lb hermetically sealed can.
