HOBART® FabCO® 712M Gas Shielded Flux Core Carbon Steel Tubular Welding Wire of 0.045" diameter has high CVN impact toughness and is ideal for all position welding. Rutile-type, flux-cored wire withstands cracking in severe applications and maintains low diffusible hydrogen following atmospheric exposure. Wire with fast freezing slag and low hydrogen levels assists to reduce the risk of hydrogen-induced cracking and also to lower preheat requirements in certain applications. Wire with low moisture pickup is designed to allow good mechanical toughness properties at lower temperatures in both welded and post weld heat treat conditions. It is associated with E71T-1MJ H4/9MJ H4/12MJ H4 class of wires and is used in single or multiple pass applications with mixed gas. Wire comes in a vacuum-packed spool of 33 lb and is used in offshore drilling rigs, jackup rig fabrication, transmission and process piping as well as shipbuilding industries. This wire has to be stored in a dry, enclosed environment and in its original intact packaging.
