Learn about drive roll types and housing
Wire feeders have either two or for drive rolls to help push the wire through the liner. Depending on the wire you’re using, the proper type of drive roll will be:
- U-grooved: Soft solid wires (Aluminum)
- V-grooved: Hard solid wires (Mild steel & stainless steel)
- V-knurled: Flux cored wires, Metal cored wires
