- ESAB® Sureweld® 7024 Carbon Steel Stick Electrode in a 50 lb carton is a iron powder, high speed, heavy-coated electrode specially designed to increase penetration with little or no root porosity in horizontal or positioned fillets and is formulated for high deposition rates on horizontal and down hand welding. 1/8" Dia X 14" Electrode offers bead appearance along with self-cleaning slag that makes removal easier and 45 deg equal operator appeal fillets that eliminates over welding. Electrode features good weldability along with superior mechanical properties and meets the specifications of AWS A5.1, ASME SFA 5.1 (A-1, F-2), ABS - AWS A5.1. Electrode is perfect for inducing high-speed lap welds on mild with some alloy steels like earthmoving, construction equipment, truck bodies, ships, barges and railcars.
