The MediSelect™ II regulator is designed for use with high pressure medical gas cylinders equipped with medical CGA-540 or CGA-870 cylinder valves. They regulate the flow of medical gases to the patient or instrument in liters per minute (LPM). They are intended for the administration of medical oxygen gas in the treatment, management, diagnosis evaluation and care of the patient. The MediSelect™ II regulator has an easy to read flow selector visible from two sides. The pressure gauge rotates around the body to provide best viewing regardless of the orientation of the source cylinder. The outlet hose barb also rotates around the body to better enable orientation of delivery cannula or mask hose. Additional flow settings allow regulator to be used for other applications
Flow setting of 25 LPM can be used for resuscitation purposes
Flow setting of 7 LPM can be used for nebulization therapy
The 0-6 LPM model has fractional setting for pediatric applications (0.25, 0.5 and 0.75 LPM)
The MediSelect™ II regulator is equipped with a unique anti-shock element that reduces the risk of adiabatic compression making the regulator more resistant to heat of recompression which can lead to ignition
The oxygen gas velocity is slowed at the inlet to lower the risk of molecule friction.
