- Esab® AtomArc® E8018-B3L H4R 8018-B3L Low Alloy Steel Electrode with 5/32" is ideal for welding the nominal 2 1/4%Cr - 1%Mo steels. Electrode features arc characteristics, that are stable and spatter is minimal. The flux coatings are designed to effectively resist moisture pick-up in opened containers. The improved coating offers an extra degree of reliability, especially for electrodes exposed to high humidity environments. The low carbon analysis of the weld metal contributes to its crack resistance along with the careful blend of Cr and Mo which offer the properties for elements subjected to elevated temperature service. Moisture resistant coatings are comprised in all AtomArc® electrodes. Electrode comes in a hermetically sealed container of 10 lb.
