Item Details

  • Hobart® Maxaltig® ER4047 3/32" Dia Aluminum TIG Welding Rod in 10 lb carton is ideally designed for welding thin sections where the higher fluidity and lower shrinkage rate are important for distortion control. Welding rod is ideal for using in applications where excellent wetting action for joint sealing of pressurized fluids and gases is necessary. Welding rod features a low welding smut and discoloration, moderate electrical and thermal conductivity with low melting temperature. Rod with maximum corrosion resistance has low ductility with lower toughness and is less hot cracking sensitivity for most applications. Welding rod is ideal for general repair or maintenance, water and gas tight applications and is used for welding 6xxx alloys, radiators, air conditioning components. Rod meets AWS A5.10, AWS A5.01 and ASME SFA 5.10 standards.

Features

  • Low melting temperature/high fluidity
