Item Details

  • HOBART® Excel-Arc™ 71 Gas Shielded Flux Core Carbon Steel Tubular Welding Wire of 0.052" Dia enhances productivity while minimizing part rework/rejection. Rutile type, flux-cored wire suitable for all welding positions provides easy slag removal and withstands cracking in severe applications. Wire with out-of-position capability helps to shorten clean-up time, while minimizing the risk of inclusions. It enables bridge poor fit-up without burn-through and provides excellent impact toughness. Wire does not require shielding gas and enhances productivity while minimizing slag entrapment. It is used in single or multiple pass applications that need a Self Shielded high deposition wire with low temperature impact toughness. Wire comes in a vacuum-packed spool of 20 lb and is used in structural steel, shipbuilding, bridge construction and offshore rigs industries.

  • Fast freezing slag
  • Easy slag removal
  • Good impact toughness
  • Low fumes and spatter
  • Able to bridge poor fit up without burn through
