What’s wrong with using standard industrial oxygen and acetylene cylinders?

Though oxy-acetylene has many benefits, its use carries risk. Common risks include fire and explosion from the use of unstable gases, flashback and burns, as well as health hazards from inhaling toxic fumes and eye damage from UV radiation.

What makes cutting with acetylene a safety risk?

Acetylene is an extremely unstable gas. It is highly sensitive to heat and shock, and can decompose violently under pressure above 15 psi.

How does FLAMAL reduce the safety risks associated with oxy-acetylene cutting?

Fire, explosion and flashback are mitigated with features such as a built-in regulator, on/off lever, integrated flashback arrestor, protected valves, and a permanent, ergonomic, shock-absorbing cap.
