Achieve cooler cuts and consistent results with the sharper aluminum oxide abrasive grain on this 86A AO surface grinding segment designed for Hanchett, Mattison, Norton, Sterling, Abrasive Associates, Cortland and Cortland Bonus Grind chucks. With a porous VBEP vitrified bond, this segment increases chip clearance and maximizes coolant flow while reducing loading for quality results. Cooler cuts make it an ideal choice for heat-sensitive jobs. It is particularly suited for precision stock removal and vertical spindle surface grinding on many materials, including 400-series stainless, hard and soft carbon steels, tool steels, aluminum, cast iron and gray iron.
