- Black & Decker™ Kerf Plate is designed for 12" miter saw and 12" compound miter saw and DeWalt® 12" 4 A miter saw, 10" & 12" miter saw, 10" & 12" compound miter saw and 12" dual bevel miter saw. Kerf plate is made of plastic and has a slot on its middle that enables the saw blade to slide through. It is used to prevent excessive splintering to provide cleaner cuts and is firmly secured to the saw with its 3 screw holes.
