  • Hobart® MaxalMig Aluminum Filler Metals MIG Wire with 3/64" Dia rendering magnificent corrosion resistance and low shrinkage rate/reduced distortion properties comes in a 16 lb wire basket. It is independent from the base metal dilution during welding to provide enhanced weld strength to the weld deposit while keeping the same weld characteristics. It has 25% higher UTS and 50% higher yield strength to provide moderate electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity. 35 ksi Moderate/high strength wire has low melting temperature/high fluidity along with low welding smut and discoloration. It has low ductility, formability and lower toughness to render low hot cracking sensitivity in most applications. It is associated with ER4943 class of wire. It has post welds that are completely heat treatable without base metal dilution. It finds applications in welding 6xxx alloys, radiators and air conditioning components, general repair and maintenance, water and gas tight applications, post weld age, post weld heat treat and age, automotive/motorcycle frames, sports products - scooters/bicycles, general repair and maintenance, aerospace hardware, ladders and frames, alloy 356 castings, wheels, ship decks and furniture.
