- SPECIAL METALS MONEL® 187 ECuNi 1/8" Dia Welding Electrode comes in a 10 lb hermetically sealed container and provides superior operability for groove, fillet welding in down hand position. Welding electrode is ideal for marine, desalination applications and meets ASME, AWS and ISO standards. It is used for shielded metal arc welding of wrought or cast 70/30, 80/20, 90/10 copper nickel alloys and in welding dissimilar joints.

Applications
- MONEL® Welding Electrode 187 is used for shielded-metal-arc welding of wrought or cast 70/30, 80/20 and 90/10 copper-nickel alloys
- The most popular use of Alloy 187 would involve marine applications, where it offers excellent resistance to corrosive effects of salt water
- Used for welding the clad side of copper-nickel clad steel
- For many dissimilar applications, such as joining nickel-copper MONEL® 400, R-405 and K500 or high nickel alloy 200 to the copper-nickel alloys
