Item Details

  • Hobart® Maxaltig® ER5356 1/8" Dia Aluminum TIG Welding Rod in 10 lb carton is ideally designed for using in the construction industry in fabricating truck trailers, small fishing boats and in cryogenic applications. Welding rod includes an aluminum/magnesium alloy for general purpose welding and has a 38 ksi typical high strength with high ductility or fatigue strength. Welding rod with very high toughness features a lower electrical and thermal conductivity with moderate ductility or formability and has higher column strength with better feedability. It also has very good color match with 5xxx/6xxx base materials after anodizing. Welding rod is ideal for welding truck frames, shipbuilding, rail cars or bus panels, 5086 and lower strength alloys. Rod meets AWS A5.10, AWS A5.01 and ASME SFA 5.10 standards.
