Lincoln Electric® Metalshield® MC-710XL Gas Shielded Metal Core Carbon Steel Tubular Welding Wire of 0.045" Dia is designed for superior arc performance in high deposition, high travel speed applications requiring minimal amounts of spatter. Wire is ideal for all positions and is welded with mixed shielding gas. A mild steel, metal-cored wire features excellent mechanical properties and is capable of X-ray quality that meets radiographic requirements of AWS A5.20 when used with recommended procedures. Wire gives superior performance on scaly plate and is specially designed for low welding fume generation. Welding wire is virtually slag free and allows multiple pass welds without de-slagging between passes. Features good resistance to porosity caused by heavy scale or rust contaminants and high deposition efficiency of approximately 95%. Areas of application include automotive, structural fabrication, shipbuilding and general fabrication. It is normally associated with E70C-6M H8, E70C-G H8 class of wires. Wire comes in a coil of 60 lb. Always use this wire in accordance with the material safety data sheet.
