Select 71 is a carbon steel, flux cored electrode designed for the single and multiple pass welding of carbon and certain low alloy steels in the flat and horizontal passes.

High level of oxidation facilitates welding over mill scale, rust and other contaminants.

The high level of deoxidation in Select 71 facilitates welding over mill scale, rust and other contaminants.
This makes Select 71 ideal for those applications involving the welding of structural carbon steels, where high deposition rates and superior penetration characteristics are preferred.
