Item Details
- This gas-shielded, flux cored, stainless steel electrode is composed of 19% chromium, 12.5% nickel, 2.5% molybdenum and no more than 0.04% carbon. The molybdenum in RADNOR™ 316L improves resistance to pitting and provides increased creep resistance. Its low carbon content minimizes carbide precipitation and resists intergranular corrosion.

- The addition of Mo improves resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion compared to type 308 stainless steel
- Designed for welding in either the flat or horizontal position
- Produces a finely rippled, equal legged, and well washed bead geometry using 75-82% Ar/balance CO2 shielding gas
- Smooth arc transfer and self-releasing slag that peels freely to ensure that clean up time is minimized
- Applications for this alloy type include welding in the pulp and paper industry, chemical and textile processing equipment, furnace parts and in parts exposed to marine environments.
