The Hypertherm 223254 is an industrial-grade, heavy-duty (LD) electrical work lead assembly designed to provide a return path for the continuous Direct Current (DC) plasma arc network. It is a dedicated system component for Powermax105 and Powermax105 SYNC plasma arc cutting and gouging systems. The assembly consists of a 4 AWG conductor core, a proprietary quick-disconnect power supply lug, and a high-tension spring-loaded metal hand clamp for workpiece termination.

4 AWG Copper Core: Minimizes circuit resistance and voltage drops across the 25-foot span to stabilize the pilot arc.
Proprietary Twist-Lock Connection: Insulated male quick-disconnect lug locks into the power supply with a push-and-twist motion for vibration resistance.
Integrated Strain-Relief Boots: Heavy-molded elastomeric boots at both termination ends prevent internal wire strand fatigue and tight bending radii.
High-Tension Clamping: Spring-loaded jaw designed to penetrate mill scale, surface oxidation, paints, and primers.
Copper Braided Shunt: Bypasses the high-tension steel spring to prevent detempering from resistive heating.
