Airgas to Showcase Welding Automation and Cost-saving Innovations at FABTECH 2026

Interactive Live Experience: Unlocking the Hidden Cost of Welding™

At the heart of the exhibit, attendees can take part in a hands-on welding challenge powered by the Airgas Unlocking the Hidden Cost of Welding™ (UHCW) program. After laying a bead, participants step up to analysis stations where Airgas experts turn real-time operational data—like travel speed, shielding gas, and wire choice—into instant cost-per-foot savings and productivity insights, showing fabricators exactly how to unlock immediate margin gains.

Showcased Innovations and Shop-floor Technology Highlights:

  • BotX™ Cobot Welding and Cutting Solutions: Red-D-Arc’s BotX Cobot Welding System  features advanced welding processes and operates completely without cloud connectivity, ensuring robust, reliable, and secure shop-floor operation. Also on display will be the BotX Plasma Cutter, offering 3D precision cutting via manual path teaching or CAD/CAM imports for fast, accurate results, with an optional magnetic base for maximum mobility.
  • RADNOR™ Plasma Cutter and Equipment: Featured products include the high-precision RADNOR Plasma Cutting Table for compact shop footprints, the RADNOR Model 45A cutter and consumables, RADNOR by Flextur™ industrial welding tables featuring optional Nitride+ surface treatments, and the expanding RADNOR Women’s PPE collection tailored specifically for female welders.
  • ARCAL™ Shielding Gases and FLAMAL™ Oxy-Fuel Gases: Airgas will highlight its ARCAL line of five argon and argon-blend gas mixtures formulated to enhance weld integrity, and will also showcase the FLAMAL line of high-performance oxygen and acetylene gases engineered for cutting, brazing, heating, and welding. Both gas lines integrate advanced cylinder valve technology for more efficient and safer gas handling.
  • Yaskawa Motoman® GP20 Robot : A fast, high-precision 6-axis industrial robot featuring a 20 kg payload capacity and a 1,802 mm reach. Built with a slim profile and an IP67-rated wrist, it excels at streamlining heavy-duty welding, cutting, and automated material handling workflows in tight spaces.

Airgas Named Key Supporter of 3M™ “Clash of the Grinders” Competition

Airgas will serve as a key sponsor and host for the 3M™ "Clash of the Grinders" competition at FABTECH 2026. The event features elite welding instructors from across the nation competing in real-world metalworking and fabrication challenges, with the live welding segment hosted inside the Airgas exhibit area.
