DuPont™ Tychem® 6000 SFR garments provide broad chemical protection and secondary flame resistance in a durable, lightweight garment for use in environments where chemical splash and flash fire hazards exist. Designed to be worn over primary flame-resistant protective clothing, Tychem® 6000 SFR garments help provide industrial workers and hazmat responders with permeation protection against a range of chemicals while providing escape time from flash fires. Tychem® 6000 SFR fabric provides at least 30 minutes of protection for more than 250 chemical challenges including chemical warfare agents, toxic industrial chemicals, and flammable organic solvents.In the event that a flash fire occurs, Tychem® 6000 SFR garments won't contribute to additional burn injury if appropriate primary flame-resistant personal protective equipment, such as DuPont™ Nomex®, is worn beneath. Applications include: oil and gas, industrial chemical processing plants, laboratories, hazmat teams in fire departments, industrial fire brigades, and clandestine lab investigation.

Double storm flap covers zipper which can be sealed by the wearer with double-sided adhesive strip to prevent intrusion at zipper.
Taped seams provide strong chemical resistance against heavy liquid splashes. A sewn seam is covered with a strip of compatible chemical-resistant material through heat sealing.

The garment shall be constructed of DuPont™ Tychem® 6000 SFR-- a proprietary secondary flame-resistant (FR) chemical fabric.The garment shall have a double storm flap and chin flap with adhesive closure.The garment shall have an elastic waist.The garment shall have covered elastic wrists.
