Castolin Eutectic® DO® 23 (0.045" dia.) metal-cored and gas shielded wire formulated for joining and cladding cast iron. It is particulary useful for joints in cast iron which are under restraint, of substantial thickness (over 2") and which have variable cross-sectional thickness. Deposits are tolerant of expansion and contraction stresses. Typically used for cast iron cylinder blocks, machine bases, pump housings, gear boxes, compressor castings and welding cast iron to mild steel or low alloy steels. Hardness as deposited HRB 90.
